MY MT350

Post by chrischunsi » Mon Sep 11, 2017 1:57 pm

OK, so today I took delivery of MY MT350 from Mick (MT Bandit) :D . I was like a kid at Christmas last night, couldn't sleep, and today have been pacing the house waiting the arrival. First to say - what a gent Mick is, not only did he endure the 6 hour drive to drop the bike to me, he then spent a good couple of hour with me explaining how everything works, tips, tricks and work he had already completed on the bike. The next thing to say is that the bike is every bit as good, if not better, as Mick had described. In lots of areas this bike is like brand new! Currently 3500km on the clock.

I don't think Mick's van had got to the bottom of my road before I got my gear on and took myself off to the petrol station to fill up. First "newbie" mistake, put the nozzle in the tank and pulled the lever full on as I do normally on my VFR... Result - tank and hands covered in fuel! Lesson learnt -until next time!!!

I went off up the back off Oswestry where there are lots of lanes and a couple of "Green Lanes". The bike was great, cruised along effortlessly at 55mph. I then took in on some of the more challenging lanes where it performed perfectly. The most challenging lane was about 300 yrds, uphill, rocks, roots, grass and ruts. It didn't phase the 350 in the slightest.

As you can imagine I am one happy bunny and looking forward to spending some time with and getting to know the new love of my life.... shhh ;)

Sounds like you've got one MT Tee Shirt already

Tempting as it is, going off road without a buddy isn't advisable but hey anyone who buys an MT isn't an average punter

Enjoy your bike

Thanks for the welcome lads, really looking forward to being part of the MT club.

Good point WirralMan, but I just couldn't stop myself!!!

No, that grin is fixed in there. I suppose I am going to have to stop drooling over it in the garage and go in to feed the kids.... Roll on the weekend!

I know the feeling! My missus reckons she's "had her nose pushed out."
