Yorkshire Dales Weekend in July

Sorry I can't make this weekend. I had a few problems with my bike this week, however after I managed to fix it (Thanks Gary) and give it a good shake down to ensure it was reliable, it was too late to book the site and the Camping and Motorhome site is full this weekend. I don't want to risk not being able to park in the area with my camper, so I will abandon my plans, even though I have loaded the bike in the back of the van

A great weekend. Some great lanes, food and ale. I'll have to come back next year to see the views, pity about the mist! Good to catch up with members old and new.

680 miles there and back,18 hours driving, that's more than I did in Spain/Portugal.

I laughed for the entire weekend.

The list of memories is almost unending, Madstu showing off his Yorkshire accent, Oilyrag offering me one of his 'My little pony' plasters for the graze on my leg, double pudding, Whitey purposely drifting across in front of me to 'rooster' a rock the size of my fist straight into my chest, picking up my 'special' wheel, cooking breakfast for Madstu, MTpockets bursting into tears when he realised he'd missed the meal on Saturday evening, Andrew giving me a lesson in tact, Minter for picking the bike up off me then insulting me without realising it, Geoff Barnett just getting on with it, Deadgrass not getting the hump every time I asked him to repeat what he just said so I'd have half a chance of understanding what he just said, new boy Hollandsd jumping in with both feet not having a clue what he was letting himself in for, Jooles making me a cuppa early because I'd left my tea making gear in Madstu' van and I was too scared to go in to get it as it sounded like two warthogs were mating in there, DaveB for letting us use his camper as 'camp' on Friday night, Guy sneaking out early on Sunday without waking everyone up apart from me and Franc for swearing more than me all weekend.

Who have I missed out ?

Well done Steve for sorting it. I'm already looking forward to next years trip.

PS. I wasn't surprised by the weather, it is 'oop North' after all.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and met some unforgetable people most noted is LardMark as he made quite an impression

Although I jumped in the deep end, I had a great time and thanks for everyone that helped towards the end of the day.
