My MT500

Post by Clarkie » Sun Mar 12, 2017 5:06 pm

Ok so this is my 1987 MT500, after one weeks ownership I have sprayed the tank, mudguards, rear rack and that's it. Tidied up wiring for rear lights/indicators today and did about 20 miles on it. Starting it wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be. Only issue now is to get a new battery and check out the oil that's coming out from the filler cap, I'm away to check now to see if it's been overfilled as I've read on here that could be an issue.
All in all I'm looking forward to some decent rides on it, it's not the prettiest out there by far but that's half the appeal of them, can of nato green spray paint and regular servicing is my kind of maintenance.
