Big Meet 2017 -Shropshire 21- 23 April

On behalf of the club , I am very pleased to be able to announce that we have booked a venue for our Big Meet 2017

this will take place on the weekend of Fri 21 to Sun 23 April 2017 at Brow Farm Camp Site, Ratlinghope , Shropshire .

A big thank you to Rustybike for arranging the booking and sorting out the venue

I have copied some information below as posted by Gronk which gives us a good flavour , as follows:

Early days at the moment and we will sort out finer details in due course . It will be a similar format to last year, arrival on the Friday , depart on the Sunday .A social weekend .

We dont plan on organising green lane rides with guides, but there are lanes in the area so any groups want to make independent plans to explore , there are lanes out there , including one adjacent to site .

Price of the event : £36 per person for the weekend.
For that, you will get 2 nights camping, and we will supply hot evening meal of the Friday and Saturday evening, and cooked breakfasts on the Saturday and Sunday morning, and we will also include some beers and tea & coffee.

If you require electric hook up, the charge is £5 per per pitch (being £2.50 per night) , so please add that on to your payment as appropriate and pm me to let me know you need electric.

can we ask for all payments by 31 March please

We plan to organise a road ride out somewhere on the saturday to places of interest .
Marquee and club kit to be on site and we can organise cooked meals and drinks .
Camping on site , electric hook up available if needed for extra cost
A possibility we may have a field available to us to a bit of trials if we want - details TBA.

An open fire will be arranged

As always , it's an MT club members meet, our main meeting of the year , all members welcome ,and especially any who havent been to one of our meets before. We dont take ourselves too seriously, bring an MT and a sense of humour , you will be very welcome .

Probably goes without saying, but we are guests on a site so no excessive noise and churning the field up and annoying others , or drunken stupidity etc.- just common sense, its not easy to find places that welcome groups on bikes so we dont want any problems and want to be welcomed back

Really looking forward to this , it looks a great venue , and comes highly recommended.

Its only about 30 miles from RAF Cosford museum - a fantastic place to visit - you can walk under a Vulcan with her bomb doors open and ther's a vertical Lightning that you can stand under the tail.
