Might be good idea to take out only on sunny days, like lot of other MT riders , then put it back in its class case.

This is gorgeous. Can somebody tell me a few things? What tank is that? Does anybody have one for sale? And is that a matching colour to UK MT500 plastics?

They are available at MT parts suppliers. I don't think the were available in MT500 production era, the MT350 was produced in a different colourBarrie wrote:This is gorgeous. Matching colour of frames which are painted, to plastics moulded and produced in batches with variations between them was not feasible Some owners of MTs that have been painted after disposal have reported difficulty maintaining colour match

I can see them on force and sportax website but they have the smaller 350 style lid. I take it that's what you mean by MT parts suppliers? I would prefer, if I was to buy a different tank, for it to have the larger lid style. Hmm

It's the factory plastic tank for the Canadian army version of the bikes. They have a bigger plastic cap and opening to be easier to fill with Jerry cans. I don't know if you can get them new anywhere. I think less then 100 of those bikes were made in the 80' so good luck finding one sadly.Barrie wrote:This is gorgeous. Not a chance i'm getting that bike dirty on purpose lol. I have a 2003 DRZ400 that I use for that. I was told that my bike is cleaner and in better shape then the one at the Ottawa war museum in Ontario Canada. I intend in keeping it that way They are too rare to risk damaging it.Rocketron2 wrote:Nice looking bike mate, enjoy, get it dirty.

I have a Canadian electric start mt 500. I'm looking for the wiring diagram for this model. Do you have that diagram?

Check out the MT500 manuals on Joth's website From memory the MT 500 manual has reference to Canadian an Jordanian versions The wiring diagram has some lines marked as (Canadian version) eg the starter motor wiring
