It Starts in Collioure on the French Mediterranean coast (SE of Perpignan), then it drops into Spain for most of the way, turning north near the end (East of Pamplona) to end back in France at St Jean Pied de Port which is about 50 miles SE of Biarritz - Don't ask me why it doesn't continue all the way to the sea???
Travel time could be anything from 6-8 days depending on terrain/weather/coffe breaks etc. I am booked on the return ferry on Weds 28th so I've allowed plenty of time - possibly another buzz into the mountains if we finish in good time.

I've just visited Mick Harley (a regular on TSTF) in Toulouse, he did the Vibraction trip last year and says it was an amazing route. He went and picked up the road-book direct from the authors house.
All do-able on large adventure type bikes with excellent campsites close by. Am looking forward to it.

Sounds like a good trip, I could meet you in France. It would take me just over a day & a half to get to the start point. Keep me posted. Blue skies from a very warm, 20 degrees, Malaga. David

John, the Roadbook is a good old-fashioned physical book that he sells for 100 euros. There is some information on the Vibraction website but all it shows is an overview of the route and a sample page of the roadbook.
https://www.vibraction.org/road-books/e ... ad-book-5/
I have bought the book. Everything is written in french but he kindly emailed a translation (interesting!).
Dave Burrows and Minter have seen the book and we are all happy that it's easy to follow, especially with his map reading skills.
I can bring it to Stafford (if it's on this year) or are you going to the Classic Dirt Bike Show at Telford?

Looks a great route Steve...... at the moment I don't have a suitable bike for a trip but hope to rebuild one by summer.....
I'm hoping to make it to the Ireland meet up in springtime.... not sure about Stafford.... I'm not decided yet what to do in summer yet but I'm not ruling this out... it would be great to join you all on this ride but I also fancy heading to the Balkans....

Great stuff Dave. It will be good to have you along.
I think I'm going to have to close the book on this now because I'm worried that the group will get too big and unwieldy.

So my list is:
Myself, Dave Burrows, Minter, MTPockets, Geoff Barnett and Deadgrass, with yet-to-confirm Lardmarc and Moscow John as possibilities.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone but there's always next year...That's not to say we can't pass on our information to others, especially if anyone has the ability to record the route electronically.

Roll on June.
