Sinterklaastreffen 2016, Ostend, Belgium

Post by geoffbarnett » Sat Sep 24, 2016 9:48 am

This is an easy continental rally. Dave (deadgrass) and I will be attending again this year. Just get to Calais, turn left up the coastal motorway and after 70 miles you're there. Arrive Friday afternoon or evening, leave for home on Sunday morning. The town is close by. Last year on the Fri and Sat nights we were in the town bar hopping until about 11 pm and then back to the velodrome to party a bit longer. However, we did miss the very good bands by doing this. I've copied the details below from Facebook.

02-03/12/16 organiseert MTVO hun 47e Sinterklaastreffen.

- Drinks
- Food
- Live music
- Silly games
- camping
- Ride out
- beer, Beer, BEer, BEEr, BEER, BEERS!!!!

@ de oude velodroom is Oostende

Iedereen welkom!!!

Yep,
Nice winter rally,
Don't need a chair, cooking stuff etc.
You buy a strip of tokens,
Then use these to purchase beer, food in the evening ,breakfast, tea (or coffee if you're American ) in the morning.(seating and tables in the beer tent )
Nice big bonfire in the evening, which is always nice.

Sounds great, do you need to purchase tickets in advance from somewhere?

I'm there! Let me know which ferry you're both getting :D
Looks easier and nearer to get to than all MTRC meets and most of the other shows for me
