Well its all on... I had to put the 350 top yoke on as the 500 one broke!!! I nipped up the pinch bolt (yes it had the packer in the gap) and the thing cracked 
so took off and swapped. Fitted the 350 bars and the left had switch gear and clutch lever (the pass button only works when you have headlights on) Took a bit to bleed the brakes through.
Bolt sheered off on the front mount of one of the bark busters (had to drill and re tap the bugger)
SO although it fought me all the way its back together.
Took it for a spin, now have a working speedo, the trip works but the distance doesnt As for a proper comparison of the disk v drum on a 500... pretty much the same (dont know if its got sintered pads though)
