Phil's MT350 (arceye)

Post by arceye » Mon Feb 02, 2009 5:43 pm

After a failed trip to Whitam's to veiw a load of basket cases, i struck lucky at the next auction in May 08.
For Ă‚ÂŁ750 i managed to get a complete runner. :D
The only thing i had to do for the MOT was a leaking fork seal and patch a hole i the exhaust.
I have only had a couple of day's off road experience towards the end of the year and am looking forward to getting out on it regularly this year.
So i look forward to meeting you all.

Looks good Arceye, I was a lucky bidder on the January auction, I have not seen it yet!! It was the third one I have bid on and managed to get this one for Ă‚ÂŁ800, weather permitting it will be with me in the next few days. I am slightly worried after all the horror stories...just hope I hit lucky. To answer your question Pete I got the nod a day or 2 after the tender closed. Something to keep in mind with Withams that is not an issue with ebay is that you will get hit for VAT on top of your final bid. Fingers crossed  I will let you know what state mine is in at the weekend.

Pete, they called me a day after the auction.
And Mel, dont delay in picking it up as when i got there i noticed a Harley side panel was missing that was in the photo.
The warehouse man promptly pulled one off another customers and put it on mine.
I told him, " I was sure it had panniers on ", but he didnt fall for that one.
Oh and make sure he gives you a key.

DONT I REPEAT DONT leave without your 654 MOD disposal doc either. I did they said they posted on. It took a shed load of calls and them saying they had posted it etc. Said they would have to get another from the MOD which would take another 2-4weeks. I think it was 4 weeks before I got it.
