go to be 12 years since I did anything in the lakes. I did like that on lanes that were open they were signed to give the preferred direction of travel and numbers in group. Always hated the way you were looked at as if you personally were the end of the world and a bucket of pigs blood was going to land on you at the next gate post. I would do a week in the lakes then a week in mid wales (where you walked into a shop, they saw the landy and would pull out a map and say ohh have you been here yet?!)
