Yep, no probs Grant, their are quite a few close around it, I'd already been in touch with the Arboretum about a few of us visiting on the Saturday of the big meet, they are really interested and look forward to us visiting, they gave me details of local camp/b&b/pubs etc. I would be willing to sort it out for a possible Oct meet .

I don't know if they still do it, but at previous years they have had camping at Drayton Manor Park (£10 for the night), then ride with the standard bearers.

The other formal rides met at various service stations, and ride as an organised group on the motorway, times to arrive at intervals to ease congestion. I've done this when I had the BMW1100 as it does mean you tend to travel at 70mph to keep up with them, which is a pushing the MT350.

But you can just ride there. Could see if we can meet at a local camp site, maybe the Haberdashers Arms?

Looks like we can sort something then. Cheap pubs and B&B are worth a look too.

Hi Grant, all I know is that it raises money for the place, for new memorials and the up keep of a beautiful and peaceful place, you also get pin badge and cloth patch. i'm sure you would be able to just pitch at the arboretum, but to be part of the ride in I think you do need to be registered. All the money goes to the Arboretum, their's no middle man taking a cut, the chap who started it is former military.

Ok registration is open thanks chaps

Question are we doing this as a club group and finding a central camp site for Fri night? Then going together to the local start point?
I thought this would be the plan so we can go as a group?

Obviously up to individuals to register but we need to sort out a camp site. Drayton Manor is out as space is limited so late participants wouldn't get in.
