Yorkshire Meeting Conversation Area (YMCA)
Ey up lads.
Simple thread for simple folk...
In the interest of keeping things tidy and allowing everyone to post suggestions and info, welcome to the new Yorkshire Meeting Conversation Area.
(YMCA)
Throw suggestions here for future locations or events you might feel our fledgling group will be interested in attending. These could be day, evening or overnight bimbles.
Please give some info and where possible link to a website etc so we can all have a gander. Please also remember to be realistic, no expensive arty farty left wing liberal noncy poncy southern shandy drinking locations

First suggestion from Pikystue given on a recent road trip to pick up an old GPZ (all very Top Gun)
The highest pub in England. Live music on Sat nights and accommodation too. Bunk bed dorms or camping available within our limited Yorkshire budget

Most definitely up for these two mate. The Tan Hill inn's a great location. There's even room for campervans for those who like home comforts, but no hook-ups as I recall

Re: Yorkshire Meeting Conversation Area (YMCA)
Does anyone fancy a run out to the Trip to Jerusalem in Nottingham around the last two wkends in March? Either day, either weekend is cool for me. Being the oldest pub in England it makes for a good bike photo moment, the foods top notch and they've got a good selection of local ales.
Blitz, I'm guessing you're up for this one, so we could set off from Rotherham and meet anyone who fancies the ride either along the way or there...

Be aware that the pub in Nottingham is in the city centre. The destination might be worth a drink (when riding?) but the journey won't be much fun

If I get time I might organise a re-run of the Yorkshire Dales weekend. I know the lanes and everyone who went thought it was a great weekend. I might find a better place to stay (the location was perfect but the breakfast was dire!). I'm sure it would be well attended, it's just a matter of deciding a date and having the time to sort it. I think it might possibly be easier if it's done on an individual basis. i.e. I'll say where and when, then those that turn up pay their own camping/glamping/food, etc. This would take the weight off the club and make it much simpler to arrange. Could possibly also include a road route for those not wanting to get dirty.

Fancy the hill top for a one night shindig later in the year when it's warmer

It's not far from the Green Dragon to Tan Hill. Maybe we could combine them?
