Did Armstrong make anything else apart from our bikes or did they stay true to their original passion ?

Search forum on the word.......Clews ....... and take it from there. The first Armstrongs were actually made by SWM apparently

Thats what Armstrong bought the rights to make when SWM went into liquidation.
The design was slightly modified to become the Armstrong MT500.

On the second link, the first thing the Technical section says about the engine is its a
"boring slag" :?

Find yourself a copy of the book "Rolling Thunder - CCM Motorcycles - The Odyssey" by Peter Henshaw. It's a 'right riveting read' and covers the CCM/Armstrong/CCM story from the start. You can buy it direct from CCM if you need to.
By the way, I have an Armstrong CMT250 1982 2-stroke trials bike in the garage (designed by/with Sammy Miller). If you make it to the Doncaster bike club event you might just get a ride on it.Also if you are interested enough, check out http://www.armstrong-trials.co.uk/

That's a choke. Have a look at the other picture, you can see it underneath the left hand grip.
