At last,
Farm shed rescue.

Total strip down,
shot blasted frame,
new swing arm & frame bits I was given from a friend of the family
front forks re-furbed,
new rear shocks,
engine strip,
bore out, head clean, valve grind & lapping,
new piston,
Mikuni carb,
shiny exhaust,
shiny chain,
any new bits I could find,
lots of new bits,
total loom strip & re-furb,

Frames & bags waiting to bolt on,
TLC, etc, etc,
need to brush up & repaint the engine, any tips on paint to use appreciated,
MOT yet to do

looks very nice , well done Don,
i used a barbeque, satin spray paint, not sure i'd use that again tho, held up fine on the cylinder fins , rockers ect ,
any spilt petrol tho tends to remove it , so don't throw petrol on your barbeque coz it don't arf bugger the paint work up ,
i think if i was gona do it again , which i am ,
i'm gona splash out a bit and buy proper heat resistant engine paint in rattle cans

Cheers, its ok for me, by no means a mint re-con - sympathetic I think they call it,

It matches the colour & the symbol 51 Squadron RAF regiment had put on one in Saudi Arabia 1991,

it was a long long time ago now, but it is good to have hold of an MT,

This one I have to keep & pass on.
