The BIG Meet 2016 - discussion post

Evening everybody..

The big meet is something we all look forward to and next year should be no exception.. As most of you know the Stafford Classic Bike show organizers were no longer keen on the MT Riders taking up such a large area of their site which could be sub let for more stalls. This effectively forced us out of the ground..

At the last couple of ride out / meet ups a few things have been discussed.. I quite like the following idea...

As Stafford show ground is fairly central in the UK and most of us know where it is why not harbor up in a local campsite no more than 5 miles from Stafford Show ground. Zip - anything decent you know of?

We can meet as usual on the Friday Eve. Then after breakfast do a controlled convoy ride from the camp site to Stafford show ground. We can park up together outside in a nice military fashion locking our bikes together.

We can enjoy what Stafford has to offer - I like most enjoy looking around the stalls and picking up the odd bargain or restocking on Workshop bits and bobs.

You can leave the show when youve had enough and make your way back to the campsite ready for an evening of fun and frolics, hopefully a raffle and the MT shop..

Sunday - bimble off home after another breakfast or return to the show with out having to wait until joe public has left the show before riding home...

Any thoughts on this or something different please join in the thread..........

I've just this minute got off the phone from selling 'that' Landrover so I should make it this time.

That's an idea Garry and I would still go. However as a Northerner I say sticket to the man and not give Stafford our money.

Could we infiltrate some other event in a central location?

What about the BMF or whatever it's called these days at Peterborough. I could arrange use of the airfield for camping and then it's a 20min ride to the show ground.

I know BMF was talked about but was too expensive to camp etc. Hello airfield for camping and cost saving ??

I liked the original idea as posted by Minter, but feel just like Blitz (even though I'm just a Southerner ) so liked Mr Shiney's post as an alternative.
