Congrats to Mark for the KickStart Award

Do tell us why this was awarded

It was awarded because Mark can kickstart his MT500 into burbling life but I can't kick even a slight cough out of my 350.

For the avoidance of all doubt I've never had a bike I couldn't kickstart in forty-odd years of riding, except my wife's old Ducati and my 520cc BSA B44 (B52?) neither of which had kickstart levers.

A few moments of quiet ease near Golitha Falls, the traffic on the A30 was quite character-building today.

Fast Bike From Ipanema

Post by NVNL » Fri Aug 14, 2015 12:56 pm

Spotted at The Plushbridge Superbike Centre today, this elegant TR5 looks even lovelier in the metal and so on than it does in these dodgy snaps taken under fluorescent strip lights.

From my understanding of the engine number it is a 1951 model.

This beats sitting in Bank Holiday traffic, little Harley at Panters Bridge on the Midaldur.

Memo From Turner

Post by NVNL » Sun Sep 06, 2015 7:28 pm

Haymaking is late this year and whereas in July the reason for taking a motorcycling break in the middle of turning the forage crop is to cool down, in September 2015 we need to warm up after two hours on an open tractor.

Nonetheless motorcycles must be ridden, rivers must be crossed and breaks must be taken.

A video appeared on FB recently, “Bodinnick Ferry 1935”.

Herewith as discussed, a few snaps of Bodinnick Ferry Eighty Years On.

Clearly not all ferries are called Bryan.

There is some suggestion that this place is implicated in the writing of “Wind In The Willows”.

Nice gunnera manicata at any rate.

Another Surprise For Jack

Back in the thirteenth century when Ralph de Suleigny and Robert de Lutret* held land hereabout they could not have known that Warleggan would one day be twinned with Narnia.
