Ran it up tonight. Pleasingly it started first press of the button. I love the responsiveness of the 405 conversion.

At the owners request I am going to ride it to work tomorrow to run It in. 130mile round trip should do nicely!

Nice one Steve.. which carb have you got on and what final drive sprocket have you got on? My 405 was doing 75 in 4th with 14 47 gearing on the rolling road! That was at 9000 rpm too.. don't go that mad for a few miles!

Standard CV carb with usual mods and a 16/47 sprocket combination. It was doing 75 at 4000rpm.

When it's run in I will see what I can get out of it and report back. I have 2nm straight line to play with. I had to use the perry track for my initial tests.

Deserved everything he got by the look of it. I have a clean driving licence and intend on keeping it that way I cover far too many miles at work to risk a ban.
