Ride out New Mills/Mellor? 2015

Post by ironhammer » Mon Mar 16, 2015 9:12 pm

I've recently moved near to New Mills/Mellor Derbyshire/Cheshire border. Are there any MT riders in the area that could show me some good tracks or who want to go out for a ride. I've done some exploring already but a bit of local knowledge would be helpful.
Cheers :mrgreen:

Hello, nice area, I used to go off roading near there with a 4x4 club some time ago. Good luck finding some decent green lanes.

And good luck finding a few club members to ride with,we have organised a sw mtriders club meet up down here where we talk rubbish an laugh about some other club members once a month, maybe worth trying to get that together up there. All the best ;)

If you're new to an area, or just keen to explore the local lanes, have a look at Trailwise: http://www.trailwise.org.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can see what's in a local area, with good information on any restrictions. If you are really keen, then worth joining the TRF, then you can see the whole map on Trailwse, and also get to know some good local guides.

Once you know the local lanes, then we can come along and ride with you :D

Lovely area, I use to live at Hazel Grove, but that was when the children were growing up and I was not allowed a bike :cry:

I will be at the Cat and Fiddle Inn in the middle of the A537 between Buxton and Macclesfield. at 10 o'clock Saturday morning. Will meat you there for a brew and chat about doing some lanes if you like. + if anyone else fancies a brew.

I might join you as well, and maybe with Rhys my son on his Honda CBF 125.
