Bike Number 3

I've been stripping my bike for powder coating (Mr Shiney is kindly helping) and have noticed it has a very low frame number - 000003. Not exactly sure what it means but maybe it was an early one.

See FAQs for breakdown of chassis number. Your bike is a 1995 number. The early bikes have a 1993 code.
NB The year code change isn't exact but accurate to the nearest week or two

Thanks. I did read the FAQ and read the number against it but it doesn't tell you what the last 6 numbers mean. I assume they are consecutive numbering but I don't know if they restart each year or something like that.

Yes restart each year in theory, but I am sure that someone once posted about having a low chasis number for a given year but the bike was recorded as a late December from the previous year, which is why I believe the serial numbers are a bit fuzzy.
