R.B.L. THE CLUB WREATH.

Post by Pirate » Sat Nov 01, 2014 10:27 am

In June 2015 members of this club will be taking part in a tour of Europe, mostly covering the WW1 battlefield, with a couple of extras added in.

Amongst all the spare clutch cables/inner tubes and other MT equipment, we will be carrying one very special piece of luggage, 'The Club Wreath.to the Fallen'. This is being produced by the RBL.

THE LAYING OF THE WREATH

We would like you, the club, to decide where to place it. Please post below your suggestions and where possible in accordance with the tour, it will be laid.

Excellent plan and very fitting, Simon.

My thoughts are that it has to be at one of the cemetries at Ypres, Essex Farm would be apprioriate, or Menin Gate if it does not disctract from the "Last Post ceremony"

The thoughts that go with it are more important than the location.

They are happy to have bona fide groups lay a wreath to the Fallen. I do have an email for the group who run this though http://www.lastpost.be/en/home" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; should give all the details and contacts.

I'm keeping out of this as I would like the club to decide and once a consensus has been reached, I will make any necessary arrangements.
