MT500 trip to southern Ireland.

Post by clubs » Sun Sep 14, 2014 3:05 pm

Rode up from Slough to Fishguard and caught 2.45am ferry.
Arrived in Rosslaire at 6.15am.
Rode down through Wexford, Waterford then Cork.
Camping and touring around.
Came back on 9.00pm ferry from Rosslaire, arriving at Fishguard at 12.15am. Sat nav got lost, taking me through villages, mountains and hills along 'b' roads in the pitch black!
A tip for non Welsh members.. West Wales closes in the evening. Nightime petrol is really hard to find!!
I took the usual tools, spare ignition coil, clutch cable etc...990.4 miles and not a single issue.... A very happy MT owner!!

Great trip and good pics, although I've never heard of including a spare ignition coil in the tool role! Yep south Wales does close down at night but their is one late night petrol station on the A40!! Pity your sat nav got lost at night as I'm sure if done in daylight the 'lost' route would have been spectacular.
