Thanks Gary -it looks like a new 'un!
I'm struggling a bit with the loom.
As I'm rebuilding it there seems to be a few mysteries. I've tried upside down, inside out, hammering the jigsaw pieces together.... but seriously, I can only compare so much with the 500 because of the obvious differences. There seems to be an awful lot of connectors to the right of the headstock. So much so that I'm concerned about fouling the steering. And of course I've got a few unidentified wires with missing or damaged terminals..
Lesson to learn:
1. Maybe don't get a mate to help you when stripping down - that way you've a better chance of remembering.
2. Take lots of photos.
I've started a thread under electrical with the same question so I'll watch there for answers while trying to fathom it as I go along.

Engine returned from Minter. Thought you might like to see this 'action shot' as I got Lee to help with the manual bit:

Then we slipped and dropped the bloody thing! Broke the edge off a fin and put a couple of marks on the casing. I didn't swear much. Honest! I had to file the edges to disguise my clumsiness.
The engine is now fully installed and the SHINY polished S/S exhaust half on.
Working away most of this week so I have run out of time but I'm still intending to bring it to Stafford. It will look complete at first glance but still needs things fettling, like checking all tightness, finish electrics, bleed brakes, make & fit a dash panel for the clock and warning lights and no doubt a few other niggles.
See you at the weekend.

For those that didn't make Stafford, here is a picture of the finished bike. Well, I say finished. I made it look good in order to show it off at Stafford. I still need to finish off a few minor bits; Choke cable, speedo mount and then take it for MOT ready for the Yorkshire Dales weekend.
To my horror, when we unloaded it at Stafford, poor packing had led to the paint rubbing through on the tank. Deft use of MTRC stickers covered the wound. Fortunately, Paul is so laid back, he just said that he planned to sticker it up anyway so don't worry about it. Then again HE did the packing!

Fantastic work Steve, good to have met you and Lee at Stafford, and the bike really looked superb - the photos just don't do it justice and the broken fin was invisible - I'd never have spotted it!

Could you please thank Lee again for me for giving me that map holder? - works a treat.

You're welcome Col. What I want to know is;
Did Paul want his 350 red because:
A) he was jealous of yours, or
B) yours wanted a mate?
