Ive got some 17inch fox shocks on one of mine and 17 inch Ohlins with piggyback resevoir on the other

Ive put the 350 damper rods in the forks and had a twin leading front shoe arangement made to help it stop. Its now got an over size slipper piston in and full flow titanium silencer and Mikuni flatslide.. It goes quite well and sounds great!

This is at Farleigh Castle last year..

Have you carried out any other mods to yours?

You may have problems using the shorter fox shox with the modified mounting nearer the swingarm pivot, the shocks may not be able to handle the added pressure necessary for the sharper geometry and wight of the mt...
I have a manual which gives you the calculations I can scan for you if you want.

The only thing I've done is drop one tooth on the front sprocket. Still running the Amal carb, and fingers crossed it seems to go alright.

Is it the fox manual you've got? If so I've got a copy of it mate but thanks anyway.
 Cheers! I went down to 15T on final drive. Ive also got a close ratio box in my MX armstrong and no counter balance shaft! Ive not tried it yet but looking forward to it when i can get out of the wksp!

Finished 5th overall which will do for a benchmark.
Excellent stuff! I love the colour scheme and the decal on the tank.

How does having no counter balance affect things? Apart from more vibration of course...

It's a weight saving thing and something less for the engine to drive.. It will vibrate more but for half hour on a bumpy mx track that will be the least of my worries!
