Well, not that you're likely to know, but I DID make a donation to the site before I'd even got my bike and I'd have bought a load of stuff from the shop too if it was working.
But if that's the way it works, I'll see how much I lose on the purchase price before working out the site's contribution.
You don't sell timeshares to do you by any chance? ;)

it would be good to remember that "the site" is made up of individuals, i dont know of any rulers, there are admin that keep the site clean and orderly.

its up to you mate.

it suprises me how honest and helpful this club is. Someone could have ripped you off. Instead we rallied round and gave support and some offered you into there homes trying to retify you problems. Only for you to leave us all alone.

mate I couldn't careless what you do with you bike or your donation. I've never met you nor never will.

good luck with your sale

Woow! It's a bit early for it but whatever.
Rather than getting into handbags at 10 paces, I thanked people for their help.
I'm not looking for your blessing on whether I keep the bike or not. I have re-listed it because I want something else. The need to specifically mention what I've listed it for wasn't lost on me. I can't be the first person to initially ask for more than they want to settle on.
Rest assured, next time I use your money to buy something I'll check with you first if I sell it or not.
I know exactly what the bike world is like for giving out advice and help to others. There isn't anywhere better for it. We help each other out, not p!ss in each other's ear.
Jeez, if that is your feeling just because I'm not keeping it, it's probably best that I'm selling!
Anyway, like I've already said THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ADVICE. It was much appreciated and sorry if I upset anyone by not coming to their house and drinking their coffee and then trying to sell my bike.
Thanks again.

I don't think you have upset anyone. It makes no difference whether you stay or go cause the person who buys your bike will probably join the club and the cycle continues.

Good luck with your sale and I hope you find the bike your looking for.

Good luck with the sale, lots of ex MTers I have spoken to regret selling it afterwards. It's yours to do with as you please of course. :)

Personally, I am glad you made a donation as you will know, as I have found out, that the guys on here are really helpful. So its great that you put in. I think it was just a surprise as you made quite a fanfare entrance and then a quick and slightly deflating departure. That's all.

I bought m MT after my Norton Commando Mk III but I would be hard pressed to part with it before the Norton now. Difficult to ride the Norton across fields and through rivers...and that is just such great fun on this bike....and it can carry my big bones at 70+ and its just a real buddy of a bike as you don't have to shine and polish it for it to be at its utilitarian best! And you also get access to this Forum and the people who are great and do stuff to bikes they actually use as intended.

Enjoy the S7 though. Lovely piece of metal with a committed club. Caio!
