Looking for an enthusiast based near to the east midlands who can re-build the MT from a shot blasted frame to glory!
Am willing to pay you for time, pass spanners & provide tea, coffee and home made cakes!
Also, I have 3 carbs (mikkuni & Amal & only need one for the re-build, loads of cables, indicator stalks & other new bits & bobs in packaging, oil filters-set of spare front & rear forks etc all spare parts will be given away to the wonder mechanic

I have brand new rear shocks, re-furbed front shocks, new sprocket & chain & will be getting stainless set of bolts for the new build to make this a grand specimen.
If your interested, give me a call Don on 07738312733.

Located LE67 ...., coalville near leicester in the midlands.

Do you do B&B ;-)

Nice offer, I wish I was closer.

there really is not a lot of work to rebuilding a bike, Why don't you have a go and you'll be surprised how easy it is.

1st make a list of the order it has to be done in.

Make sure you have a good clean dry place to work with a good bench or support for the frame. Then just take it one step at a time. 3 days should complete the job at a lazy pace as long as you have everything ready to bolt in and the loom etc is all there.

Good Luck,

Chaps,

thanks for responses, my pal, Pete has kindly bolted Lilly back to life again,

only a few things left to do, including the 51 Regiment logo for the tank, and it might even be MOT for Stafford,

however, as an old un, with nine years swinging on the end of military snap on spanners,
mainly in the cold, but sometimes in the jungle or desert, I put on two lots of gloves at the fuel station nowadays - hence the attempt to get help.

Pete, a work mate of mine has stepped in & helped the old feller out.

Over & out on this thread it is, and to upload some picks on the project pages to share. Later Per Ardua,

Give me a shout. I have done 14 of them. Weirdly the last one for a friend on Coaliville. The one before that for forumite Ernie.

Plenty of threads on here with pictures.

I am about an hour from you.
