I've been thinking about this as mine disintegrated while changing a fuse. Well done, it's a brilliant idea and good to see how it would work on mine but just I can't bring myself to cutting the side panel. I like 'standard' too much.

I managed to find some old scabby green panels from ebay and cut those up and had them painted red. I didn't want to cut up my original ones, so if I ever decide to put my bike back to 'standard' I can. Your link shows exactly the fusebox I have except mine's a six-way version.
