The ruins are from this really big house that was popular I guess because of it's size and it also survived the American civil war but ended up burning down in the 1910's or 20's. For some reason it's a popular tourist destination in the area? Just thought I would post a random picture

Linked to Mark Twain, survived the civil war as it was used as a union hospital.

Well there we go, everything I have suspected about america, took photos WHY, nice place ? you like the RUINS ? If I go to look at ruins, castles etc. I look up the history first.

They aren't really important and they are not ancient ruins like a castle or something cooler. All these ruins are is a rich guys house that burnt down but its an odd site out here where I live because I'm out in the middle of nowhere. So it's kind of a cool site to visit but it doesn't have huge historical significance to it. It's just a place I've known since I was little that's not far from the house.

Hobgoblin is available in Kingston, Ontario, in a bar called the Rose and Crown, not a bad copy of a UK pub. It specialised in UK beers and foods.
