D-Day Normandy Trip To inc June 6th

£70 return inc bike is the cheapest using DFDS
Portsmouth - Le Havre.

£150 if we have a four birth cabin.

Sailings are 23:00 night crossing
And back 17:00.

These are the only times showing as available

still interested in the trip ,how long does it take to cross the channel and were about are you thinking of staying in Normandy just to have a idea of distance ,also where were you thinking of taking your car and trailer for secure parking ,

I am interested in doing this trip. I would probably take the camper van and go Dover to Calais. Where would you plan on meeting?

how long does it take to cross the channel

About 48 hours if your a good swimmer, or ferry Portsmouth Le Havre crossing is 8 hours out, 5.5hrs return.

If you're going to trailer it to the south coast you may as well just take the car to France.

Normandy?

I realise that to the geographically challenged a Welsh, who struggle to get past the sheep pen and where in navigation terms Normandy is like the Colwyn Arms next door. However to those with slightly more navigation awareness it is quite a large target to hit. Refining it a little would be really helpful......

Open to suggestions on camp sites.

Never driven abroad and Don't fancy it but riding in a group I would feel ok.
I hope to find a member close to Portsmouth to leave the car or ferry port.

Whilst on the subject can you take a bike trailer on a ferry with bikes on it
