Yeah the old LDlines ferries, that's the crossing I use, a lot cheaper(even cheaper before DFDS bought them :( ) and you get to go over two wonderful bridges on route to Caen. :D

I may be interested but would suggest to avoid B&B's as the prices will be going through the roof, with it being the 100th of the First World War aswell. Also to save on cost I would suggest going over on the Wednesday, giving you all of the Thursday to get yourselves in place for the Events.

I also agree with Elrider, for those joining from the W/SW would be sensible to do the Portsmouth/Le Harve route, although Surfermick might do better from Plymouth.

yes i agree with Pirate. are there any more s/sw ies that would wish to travel up with me? otherwise i will travel on and maybe spend a night or two camping up near Portsmouth before traveling with the others.

Obviously I'm Sheffield and to be honest I'm not intending to ride down to the ferry port. My plan was to borrow a bike trailer and drive down leaving my car down there at an appropriate location.

Anyone wanting to join with me then no problem if we can fine a two or three trailer.

Deffo take the point on B&Bs. I looked months ago and most budged hotel chains were already full. Camping prob cheapest option by far.

£70 return inc bike is the cheapest using DFDS
Portsmouth - Le Havre.

£150 if we have a four birth cabin.

Sailings are 23:00 night crossing
And back 17:00.

These are the only times showing as available
