get yourself a set of cobalt drill bits last ages and can be resharpened easily on a bench grinder.

Had the YOOF over today he has done all my electrics for me plus fitted a couple of relays to upgrade the lights and one for heated grips and a power socket etc. About two minutes of turning the engine over and it bust into life. No nasty noises so far, gears and clutch seem to be ok. I believe the engine was stood for about two years so all good so far. Just the last bit of fettling, tweak the carb and it should be on the road before Christmas Happy Days.

Couldn't resist a test run even without a front brake, foot pegs and the seat attached properly!
Goes well but the carb needs a good fettel.

Heres Gary having a go :)

This 604 is driving me around the twist. Starts and ticks over fine. Tried riding it and that's when the fun starts won't pull feels like fuel starvation or its restricted.
Changed the 40 dellorto for a new mikuni no change
checked timing
change the plug no change
changed the cdi no change
change the coil no change
Removed the ccm silencer pulls like a train over 70 on a side street :D
Fitted original stainless 500 silencer back to restrictive
bashed baffles open no change
I'm guessing the exhaust is the problem but don't know what to try next Anyone got any ideas.
Cheers Gary.
