MT Restorations - Latest Project
MT Restorations - Latest Project
I had a very sorry looking MT turn up on my doorstep from a land far far away.....
So feeling a bit sorry for it I decided to tidy it up a little......
Big thanks goes to George for some terrific machine work on the parts I needed along with the set of stainless fasteners. Once I had emptied all of the bags into one pile in my quality street tin I realised that he supplied a guide for every fastener broken down by section on the bike......

Who on earth did the rear wheel?
Me. Both wheels were done. The original rims were badly corroded and weakened around the spoke holes and the front rim was cracked through at the weld that joins the rim.
I removed the hubs and had them vapour blasted and powder coated. New rims and stainless steel spokes were custom made by Central wheel components and the wheels relaced by them ( I normally do that as well but did not have time). Then new disks, bearings and rim tapes etc.
The front disk is modified to carry the magnets for the digital speedo pickup. The one used supports up to 20 pickup points but I used 4 which is more than accurate enough.
I did some pictures on another thread of the last wheel I rebuilt to show how its done.
