Hi All,

I've been watching this thread for a while (from North of the Border).

I've got a small farm / smallholding in North Lanarkshire (20 acres) so can offer camping facilities and a workshop if required (and a trailer if recovery is needed!). Anyone who is passing is most welcome to drop in. We're about half way between Glasgow & Edinburgh, on the A71, near Newmains but in the countryside. DSG has an open invitation to visit his old BMW R100RT if he's ever in the neighborhood!

Let me know the intended route when it's organised, and feel free to include a stop here if it suits.

Cheers,

John

Will they let you in a YH? Shouldn't you be looking for OAPH's?
:-))
Sounds a great trip.

You don't need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

At least some of us OAPs still ride our bikes rather than transport them in vans to events.

Hi,

Sound great and been wanting to tour Scotland so I would be up for this (dates pending) assuming I can get my MT up together!

Last time I did the west coast was 30 yrs ago on a bonnie and it was excellent.

Is it hard core camping or you staying in campsites. Nothing quite like having a wash in a loch. Might be up for this. Could speak to my brother in Bradford Skye and pitch tents in one of his fields.

Be who you are and say what you feel because those that
matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter!
