Update on Eric - please read

Post by Bunker » Sat Jun 15, 2013 10:55 am

Big thanks to Rus who has been keeping Eric sane by text. I just spoke to Erics SWMBO and as Rus says, he is better but..

Eric has been in very bad shape, they truly feared the worst for a few weeks. I wont go into details but he is currently in intensive care, but stable.

If you know Eric, he is a proud man and wont want flowers etc but if you know him and consider him friend, please think about sending him a card or letter:

Eric Jones
Ward 31
Arrowe Park Hospital
Arrowe Park Road
Upton
Wirral
Merseyside
CH49 5PE

I will be Moonpigging a card over using some photos from the Pyrenees - anyone familiar with those card companies is encouraged to add a photo of an MT :-)

You don't need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Simon, can we do a club card? If we all send seporate cards the postman may end up with a hernia.

Eric texted me to say he is absolutely blown away with the 7 cards he received today, well done those few of you.
For the rest of you, we nearly lost Eric last week, this club wouldnt exist without him, he does an incredible amount of behind the scenes work, PLEASE show your appreciation, and send him a card.
Thanks

I may not be physically in good shape but I now have this new pad. I had a quick look see last night so I,ll be getting back. Grok already let me know that he thinks I,m a slacker, quite right too. The last month has been a bit hard going and. I am very grateful for your messages and cards .. Thanks guys, you are a bunch of softies at times. Rusty bike has been fantastic,he talks the usual mt rubbish but then so do I. Sorry I can't get Gronk to stick, I can see I'll need to build up my own library of the odd names use on the forum. .thanks again guys Eric

A photo card came today with a shot from the Pyrenees . It was always going to be too hot for me there but great to see the club out and about. The sender knows who he is and I won't embarrass him. Thanks also to Mark and Steve for their very swift replies today. ...Steve, I am sitting under Wallasey beacon, rarely see any a/c though even though Blackpool tower is visible on a clear day, lpool inbound:/outbound all happens a few miles away on the other side of the hospital

Great to hear from you Eric :)
Hope the mashed potato has got better since I was in Arrowe park, seemed to serve it with everything including the sandwiches.
Regarding the aircraft are they still crashing the remote controlled ones from the park into the hospital?
They had two through the glass while I was in :0
Take care mate,
Steve.
