HELP
Tried to re assemble the throttle, I just can't seem to get the cables right, they are both pulling but against each other ! Can anyone explain in VERY simple terms how the cables route at the twist grip ?
Also connected up the brand new wiring harness, I have no power to anything :evil: but the starter motor, any ideas ?

Connect the cable to open the throttle first, once you have that sorted the other one just drops in. Sounds vague, but it works for me

Thanks for the replys,
i now have power :oops:

Try as i might to bleed the rear brake, its just not having any of it, i'm thinking the resevoir ( its been moved next to the master cylinder by the previous owner ) is too low to work correctly.
Could someone tell me the measurement of the centre stand from the pivot point to the foot.

Also try some ptfe tape around the bleed nipple thread, commonly they will suck air back in around the threads as you release the pedal whilst bleeding. I had a similar problem and the tape solved it.

It took me about three days the first time I did it, disconnecting the pipe, raising the caliper etc etc. It was MOST frustrating.

The best tip for me was to unscrew the bleed nipple and remove ball bearing. Then use a syringe to fill the caliper up.

Then I just pump fluid through until no bubbles show at which point I start bleeding the brakes in the conventional way.

I assume you've cleaned the ball bearing seat and have a new 7/32" (from memory) ball bearing from your local cycle shop. The old one will have rusted on the top exposed side and may not easily re-seal. Or you can fit a different nipple.
