Almost done!
Cleaned the carb, changed the oil, lubed cables, valve clearence, new filters, chain etc etc etc! Primed the oil then pushed the magic button and she fired straight into life and runs like a new one, very quiet too compared to the last lot of Rotax's fired up in the workshop!
Plastics and rubber bits tomorrow and she should be ready for an MOT....

Lubbing the bone dry cables
Its alive! And smoking! Test bed fuel tank being used as proper one is being de sanded and derusted!
Only really bad news is a crack in the bottom yoke, New part has arrived along with a new front tyre as that was perished through to the canvas, new tubes and rim tapes, fork oil and fork seals tomorrow and it'll be as good as the day it entered service all those years ago!

Glad to see you are on the home run, I am on a rota to work the weekend of the Staffy meet, trying to get someone to change with me, if so I will be up on the Sunday. Defineately count me in for next year though.

One step forward two steps back today! nuts and bolts have been tightened by Garth and a nightmare to undo! or snap!
Front brake hose has a hole in it, so cant finish the front end today..
Tomorrow is another day.....
Front brake in bits.. note snapped off mounting bolt! Nice!
Calliper rebuilt and ready to bleed.....
.....
Brake fluid pumping out of rigid pipe under master cylinder...
Major front end surgery to replace the bottom yoke.... So far so good new one is fitted fork seals and tyre tomorrow now...

Almost done!
Fork seals replaced, yoke fitted, new front tyre, rim tape and front tube all fitted and rebuilt just waiting for a front brake pipe and airbox to carb boot and she'll be ready for the MOT. Rear brake and rear tube to sort tomorrow..
Front forks in bits..
Getting the oil level correct - 240mm air gap with fork oil level tool. Set the required air gap and draw out any excess oil with the syringe - simples!
All new rubbery bits up front replacing all the old perrished stuff..
Looking better already! Cables all routed correctly and lubricated, throttle now snaps shut what ever the steering angle!

Whats that trickery with the front fork oil ?
If i remember the last time i changed my fork oil, i just poured in the recomended amount.
