Thanks to Mel paying a visit last night a front brake lever and LH pannier support has been donated FOC, Thanks Mel - I thought your pink tie looked very smart!!

So far so good! The motor is a reconned one, although the sump drain plug has been crudely tapped and over sized. The primary filter is missing, just the threaded stub screwed into the frame - thought i'd sheered it off but nope nowt inside and you can see the saw marks! :shock: Wont be able to fire it up today as ive not got any primary filters.

New battery has been fitted - it turns over fine and has a healthy spark, needs a few bulbs or connectors sorting out..

Its green! With a hint of red - rust!

The bodged Primary filter!

No oil in the frame, only water!, Plenty in the sump though which looked clean..

Now to service all the brakes, forks, tyres tubes and make sure its good gfor an MOT...

You're a better man than me Gunga Din! Glad you haven't found it a complete nightmare, is the rust mainly surface only?

Nowt a good wire brush wouldnt sort and some nice green paint!

Done a bit more this evening, I'd forgotton what fun removing the CV carb is! :?

What is the diameter of the red cross stickers on the fuel tank, thought I would source new ones for after paint job?
