First MT350 ridout today for me and the bike!

OK this is my "new" MT350 - first time out on and off road today after oil and filter change, new exhaust, left hand switch cluster replacement, front suspension fork works and other odds and sods including registration for the first time

This replaces the previous MT350 I purchased from a supplier which was returned and refunded as it was........well this is not the place for me to elaborate

Military reg number 72KL78, ex 5 Batallion the rifles, RGBWLI and 2nd Para and let go by the army in 2010.

I saw this bike on ebay for sale and went to view it in Tewkesbury and did a deal with the seller for £1100 which was the ebay auction price at the time with three days to go so a good deal.

I liked this bike as it was in an original and unadulterated condition, starts and runs a treat and the ride out today went well.

Stopped for a tea and bumped into Ian another MT rider from Seaford, small world!

So how would I describe the MT350 and the ride? Its different! But than again so am I

Then went to the Brighton v Chrystal Palace game, what a day, its all good!

Hi,
Took mine out for the first time this afternoon. I like it. I still need to give it a service but the weather was good and I couldn't resist a quick 5 miles blast. The riding position suits my tall frame, I will have to get use to using the gear lever on the the left and the brake on the right. With it being low geared I found I was not using the foot brake as much. Which will help me with the switch over.
I have already had the petrol coming out of the overflow pipe, it seems to have fixed its self and I did have a bit of an oil leak when I first had it, its gone now. I was putting the bike away after a short ride on the drive, I slipped and the bike nearly fell over and suddenly oil poured on to the floor. No problems being left over night, unlike my BSAs. I did find a problem with getting neutral, at the petrol station the green light was on but it was still in gear. I guess I will get use to it, overall I'm a happy MT rider.
