Armstrong MT500 finished at last !

Post by PetrolPaulie » Sat Mar 16, 2013 2:28 am

Image Image This is my MT500, I thought it would take 2 Months maximum, but it has taken me a Year to finish. Theese pictures were taken monday, today it does not look like this as it is completely covered in mud, it passed its mot today, I was very happy so I went home via the Peddars way, very heavy driveing rain, very cold, very muddy, but very happy. Keeps cutting out at junctions though, then it is a real pig to start again, I think I have over Jetted it (Pilot) but it goes like a rocket if you snap the throttle open from any position, no fluffing, no hesitation, so it must not be too far off. My next job is to do a Plug chop when it stops raining.
Thankyou to everyone on here who has given me advice over the last year.

Congratulation and well done looks like a nice job and you should be pleased. Two months was propobally a little optimistic ;) did you do it all yourself? Good to see you are getting it dirty as well. I have just bought an MT350 which I have just registered and it and I went for its first run out yesterday and I am already thinking of an over the winter restoration later this year :!:

Well done it looks fantastic, but far too clean. I'm glad you've actually used it and got some mud on it now.
