Fits well, although I cant see any reason that a normal round can wouldn't fit as theres loads of space around this oval can...
Its not all properly fitted yet, ie none of the bolts or clamps are tightened up but to give an idea, I'm not sure if its supposed to be a bit straighter than it is, will find out when I bolt it all up properly....
I didn't weigh the new can but I think its at least as heavy as the original system so no weight savings unless you go with something other than stainless....!

Couldn't resist a quick start, as per the video below it is fairly loud but I'll see how it goes when I use it (with helmet and ear plugs probably wont be too bad :) )
I think it should play if you click on it...:

Ben, remove the little black spacer then just adjust the silence until its in the desired position then tighten all your clamps up..

Gary

I spoke to Martin at MTC Exhausts today about buying an end can

He said the CCM R30 cans that they sell might be a better match with with the 350 engine if they had a 45mm perforated internal tube rather than the 50mm that comes as standard

What do you think?

Martin said he'd make the change to 45mm free of charge if requested at the time of order

Also, he confirmed that the oval can would probably be the better fit if anyone else is buying. Approximate dimensions are 98mm x 122mm

Sounds good Ian, go for it, I like the look of the ovals too but the round ones fit ok as Ben has shown in his pic.. My silencer came ready to slip on to the 45mm link pipe..

I've finished fitting the link pipe and new can today, very happy with it, managed to get it fairly close in to the original rubber buffer on the rear mudguard, its still at an angle but it looks fine, I disconnected the shocks and made sure the tyre was never likely to hit etc and it all clears by a finger width (not that the tyre will ever come close on the standard shocks!)

I'm just back from a shakedown run (first run after total brake rebuild/new pipes etc and the exhaust) it goes a lot better than it ever has but I'm not sure if the brakes could have been a bit seized or whether the exhaust has helped, anyway very happy with it, its not too loud (went out without my ear plugs and it was ok) was still pulling ok at 70ish whereas it used to run out of puff a bit by 65odd.

ps now wondering about the need to go 604! it suits me fine now really, I'm picking the engine up this weekend anyway so will see how it goes, will be going to a 16t front sprocket again now and see how that goes, and then maybe open the airbox a bit (I've got hold of a spare one in case I don't like it!).
Also forgot how much I prefer the MT to the CCM..!

Cheers
Ben

I run a 350 with 16T front sprocket

With carb and air box mod I've never found the need for a bigger engine

Great news Ben, have you got the pics with it all finished..

Doing the air box mod will improve performance (in my oppinion!) but induction roar will also increase slightly..
