I finaly got round to fitting the electrics for my phone/satnav.
Just need a holder for it.


And fitted the pannier racks.. Not sure if I want them on or not...


Also took it for a quick test.
I think my carb is kapput. It keeps dripping out of the over flow (float needle buggered) and I am struggling to get a desent tickover.
It has been stripped and cleaned. Had new airbox and manifold rubbers. I have had the mixture screw from 1 1/2 to 3 turns out.
The engine has had new stem seals, valves lapped, tappets set twice, the timing checked and rechecked.
Will try Gronks spare carb and see if that sorts it...

Done that.
The carb is going into the sonic cleaner tomorrow. If that don't cure it, it's going in the bin

There is always a market for spare parts or it may help you out for parts later. At the worst scenario clean the jet with alchohol or MEK etc and then put a new float needle in, assuming you can still get a float needle. One thing to be aware of is not to get any lubricant, grease etc near the float needle, it stops it sealing.

Carb has been stgripped, cleaned, tweeked and is back on. Atlast it seems ok. Had a quick test ride and goes as good as my other bike...
MOT booked for Monday... I hope it passes...

All taxed and tested.
Going for the frist propper shake down ride now.
I just wanted to say a big, Huge THANKS to all who have given great advice for the rebuild.
