Re: Now where did I put that???
I have got a bit more done today.
I have cleaned and primed the petrol tank again. I just need to check that the leak has been sealed. Then I can repaint it.
Also my new reg/rec arrived.
I have reused the connectors because the fitted wires are a bit on the short side. Only took me 15 mins.
I connected it up to the bike and it was holding a steady 14.8v. I am going to make a stainless steel mounting bracket so that I can keep the original mounting holes.
I am getting there

Next few bits done today.
The brakes are all done, new pads, seals, pins and all bled.
Chain and sprockets fitted and adjusted.
And the worlds most anoying job done tooo, fitting the center stand springs...
Just the tank and reg/rec to sort, then I can book it in for its MOT....

Eric, Zip, There better some stopping of me or else it will be a big waste of effort. Oh and money...
Yep it is Freddy. Good spot by you. I just want to make a bracket to mount it, because I don't want to drill the head light cowl. Also I can bring the wires underneath the unit without it being pressed up against the underside the cowl.freddy54 wrote:rustybike wrote:I have got a bit more done today.

Have had it running today, but the headers were glowing cherry red. Had the mixture screw set from 1 1/2 to 3 turns out. Rechecked valve clearances and timing. Going to change the carb to manifold rubber tomorrow. Is there anything else to check?
