They do look good. I'm interested in getting mine done, so just a couple of questions?

How do they mask/blank off areas that you don't want powder coating?

Do they put on an undercoat then topcoat or just one coat?

ROC?

Many thanks,

Not sure what they do exactly! They mask it off with some heat resistant stuff you can still see it on the inspection bung holes. They have to treat magnesium with something first then powder coat.. Just over Ă‚ÂŁ100 for the 3 cases..

Glad the rebuild posts are proving useful..

Ball park figure Brian on the motors currently being worked on is between 400 and 750.. that includes a bit for my time all new seals and gaskets, bearings where needed, piston/ rings/ clutches as necessary plus anything else that is worn/missing increases cost, all head decoked and valves lapped back in, cylinder honed then test ran on test bed for 6 minutes..

If casings require powdercoating/painting/stainless fastners that adds up another couple of hundred approx..

No two motors are the same, some come with parts already purchased, i just fit em..

At least then you'll have a motor that should last another 30 odd years!....
Hi minter a question for u just about to put my clutch casing back after changing oil seals. Is there o ring seal to go on the drive shaft before the casing goes back on. Looking at peak riders video which is good but they do not mention it. Mine had one on! Cheers

Hi Geoff

it's always worth checking the Commercial Parts list

found here http://mtridersclub.freewebspace.com/index_1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Go to club files then MT350e then 2340-H-200-721 and download the document

I refitted a clutch casing only this morning, but I'm not sure exactly where you are talking about
Cheers

Hi Geoff,

If you mean an O ring behind the bottom pulley yes, there is one but you can fit this after the clutch case is fitted if you like. But fit before fitting the bottom pulley!

Hope youre all sorted
