I had a similar gouge in a fork to that and lead paddled it before powder coating. Invisible now!

You can home passivate as well, I use a kit that came from Frosts that does both the green and yellow.

A couple of really good rebuilds on here lately and this is another cracker . Great pictues. Its good to see the results of all the thought and effort put in Well done, really nice.
