I used this when I bought my 500 in 2005.
Inside of tank was rusting and filling carb with crap.
Today the inside is still shiny silver and looks like the day I did it.

I did my tank years ago too, I was a bit worried about getting the tank powder coated for my rebuild as the temp for coating is at the upper limit for POR15. It looks to be alright but time will tell when I get it all back together.

Mels tank has received the POR 15 treatment. I was surprised how easy it is to use and not very messy.

The tank was in a very rusty state, but came up ok once treated.. It now has a nice shiny inside!

Takes 4 days to cure then off to the paint shop for the yellow outside treatment!
