Thanks Mark and Gemma, I really enjoyed reading your report - inspirational. Too bad you had to come back early. Better luck next time.

Re: Bimble into Africa
Great pity you had to come back sooner than planned. I know the feeling/noise you are talking about - as can anyone who heard my bike when we finished the south wales meet this year, exactly the same problem, nut came off the bottom pulley completely and was found in the bottom of the cover amongst a load of oil. Luckily new seals, top and bottom pulley, cleaned woodruff and retightening everything seems to have cured mine but I was just lucky as I think it only happened in the last couple of miles from the end.
Good luck wth your next planned excursion.

Fantastic adventure, shame about the breakdowns tho.. If youd like the engines rebuilding and bikes checking over before your next trip just let me know..

Re: Bimble into Africa
What is it about Morocco .... it just kills bikes!!!!
In March 2000 I rode my bike from Manchester through France, Spain and then to southern Morocco and all the way back home. The then 20 year old bike with over 80K on the clock didn't miss a beat through rain, heat and snow! Upon reflection it wasn't an MT though.
