Harley carb???? you go through the expense of getting a 500 engine and rebuilding it only to put a CV carb on it.

You may as well of stuck with a 350 motor. :?

I'd recommend you get a real carb if you want to release the devil in it.

My 560 Aprilia engine was flat as a witches tit with the HD carb... Different bike with the Dellorto

My 560 with sidecar works well with the CVs slow power delivery, no snatching etc but I would guess that a 500 with a CV is equivalent to a 350 with a Dellorto.

Omg, that silver engine stand looks like one of an early batch I made a couple of years ago. I swapped them out for parts for my 604 project and now don't have one for myself.

I believe that one netted me a front disc guard :D . Dodgy dealings with Mel in a hotel car park ;).

Watching the topic with interest as my bike currently spits more fuel out of the carb than into the engine, so far looks like valve trouble :( .

I think I swapped you for a carb or something, I recall a dodgy meet in some hotel car park years OK.
