South Beds bimble

Post by Derrick » Sun Oct 07, 2012 3:16 pm

Anyone in the South Beds/ Luton Aylesbury area interested in a bimble around the lanes at Totternhoe?

I think some have already explored the lanes around the quarry, it looks to be the opportunity for fields, muddy lanes and tracks.

Although it's only a few miles away, I've never got round to exploring them yet, but plan on rectifying that over the next few weeks.

The red lanes on the map are open to bikes, but shut to 4-wheeled vehicles.

I use to have a SII Land Rover with the intention of doing some off-roading, but as with your area, all the lanes ban cars, so sold the Landy and got another bike.

I could be up for this one gents.
I'm in North West London (about 55mins away) and there's a distinct lack of green lanes/trails around here!
If you sort something out I'd like to try and join you.
Thanks.
John.

I was thinking about next Sunday, I go canoeing until about 11:00, so can meet about 11:30.

Could meet at the Cafe (visitors centre) at Dunstable Downs.

Ok, I'll aim to be at the visitors centre at 11:30 on Sunday then.
Can we swap phone numbers by pm? (just so that I can phone if for any reason I'm going to be late etc.)

Cheers,
John
