Regarding last trip and running out of fuel, I wanted to make sure I actually had a reserve...
Cleaned and reassembled.

Not really sure if it was as it should be when I bought it, as it's easy to make an inversed assembly for the main & reserve positions.



It seems that the one I got is nearly double the size of what's offered here?

I thought that you couldn't assemble it incorrectly without forcing it, but could well be wrong, it's a while since I took one apart.


What you have is the standard item, looking in quite reasonable condition. Apophis sell an aftermarket item. I'm not sure whether the height of the reserve tube is different or the same. Certainly the aftermarket item looks shorter

I meant that the conical plastic INSIDE the tap itself can be inserted upside down in the casing, thus using the reserve as main supply and vice versa and when the tap should be closed up, minor leakage would occur as there's a small gap from the 4 holes nearly lining up. The straw tube can only be inserted in the right side hole...

I'd guess that aftermarket tap's straw is equally long, just the gauze filter being shortened.
If not, that'll be a really short trip to the petrol station.

A 1972 American SPH-4 Helicopter pilot helmet (Vietnam war era).

Initially, I was thinking of getting that aftermarket left hand wire loom set from Apophis, as it had a warning swith incorporated.
But only recently I found this unit for only € 1,50 which is great: traffic jam on the Highway? Switch on!


So to make sure: I'd just need to hook up the red cable to 12v, white & yellow cables to the two signal wires to both indicator sets
(3 same cables from indicator switch wire loom as pictured in the photo).

Is this correct? I don't think I can mess this one up, but one never knows...
(I don't think it would give any trouble with the flasher can, as according to Apophis, the new one with beeper should support this modus)

Should be ready this time next week Tom, not long to wait! I had an ART can on my old R6 and it sounded marvelous!
