With about 20kg in a box its managable, been commuting the past week on it. Be it 2 mile there and back..

The steering damper makes a big difference! can ride with one hand on the bars with no wobble atall. Its for a merc 190 and is popular for sidecars as is the vw beetle damper.stuvy wrote:forgot to ask, what was the steering damper from that you fitted and has it made a difference if youv had the outfit off the bike?
The damper is atached at the sidecar at the bottom so would be removed when I take the sidecar off.

I just noticed something... We have sidecars mounted to right side of bike. This gives more space when using kickstart
But this is fake pic, i just wanted to see how it looks...
I think with sidecar you get worse things of both car and bike

You have sidecars mounted on the wrong side of the bike, we have them on the right side.jamba wrote:We have sidecars mounted to right side of bike.
We can use older bikes (pre 1970 something) with the side car on your side but I wouldn't fancy being a passenger in one sticking out into oncoming traffic. Interesting thread.
