A BIG thanks to all involved in the organising and all fellow members for being such a good crew and turning standing in the freezing cold pouring rain and driving wind into a thoroughly enjoyable time :D ( you know it's got to be a good club when you can say that)

Thanks to all for a terrific weekend and apologies for my ducking the dismantling duties in the name of self preservation ! Proved to be a wise decision to set off when I did as Nick appears to have been entertained by the weather condition s during his ride back on Sunday ! Great food, brilliant company and the show itself was a treasure house of experiences and stuff for me to clutter up my shack with. The Wall of Death left me speechless - a miraculous event in itself ! Many thanks to Mel and Monkey for saving me from being phoneless and great to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Had some inspirational chats with The Headman and Franc and I always love to hear of DSG's exploits ... is there anywhere on the known planet that DSG has not ridden ? Once again, thanks for making me feel like one of the gang despite my inexperience, daft questions and insistence on decorating my bike with just about anything that does not move as I reach to pick it up ! see you all soon and glad the inclement conditions did not dampen spirits in quite way the way it did tents, clothes and anything else exposed for more than 5 seconds ! :D

Well done to the lads once again for organising the Stafford meet.
Not easy this year with the weather conditions and the limited camping space. Maybe weve been spoilt the last couple of years. Good to meet up with all the regulars again as well as new members .
Great relaxed atmosphere with people sharing their experiences about all things MT and life in general .The sign of an excellent well run club. Hopefully next year we'll have good weather.

A belated big thanks from me - especially to Minter who not only repaired my front tyre but also managed to free a stuck front master cylinder piston on Sunday morning.

I wimped out on Sunday. I had previously booked a Ă‚ÂŁ19 deal at a local Travellodge as I didn't want to ride back late after the show closed. I decided to stay in the Stafford area all day Sunday and spent a happy few hours checking over the bike and redoing the front brake. I think some muppet - obviously not a club member - must have wiggled my front brake lever when the wheel was off and this caused the piston to jam. Anyway I managed to get hold of a tin of DOT4, stripped the master cylinder and then bled everything. Not perfect, but enough to get safely home.

What a difference a day makes. Monday in the Stafford area was 10 deg warmer, no rain, much less wind and sunny. It made for a great ride home - about 150 miles. One thing I did find was that Avon Distazias do not like running at low pressure. The run gave me the chance to try different pressures between about 20 and 40 psi. Based on this limited testing I've settled on about 36 psi as being good for fast road use with a well loaded bike.

As lots of people have said Stafford was a great opportunity to put faces to names. As I said to Bunker this was my first Stafford and I thought it was great. The combination of a better location at the show and hopefully some good weather will make next year an event not to be missed.

Thanks once again to all the people who made Stafford happen this year - definitely an experience that will not be forgotten for a long time :-)

Many thanks to all that helped organise such a great week-end, special thanks to the chef and his assistants.

Nice to meet members again and put more faces to names.

Hi all

Thanks to everyone involved for organising another top meet.

Thanks Mel/Simon for the offer of food, I wish I took the offer because Pauls cooking is getting worse every year.

Nice to see old and new faces; hope to meet up on ride outs in the future
